As the display resolution increases, we can see a slight advantage for the AGP 8X cards, but it's pretty miniscule. Let's plot out this data another way to get a visual sense of what's going on.

AGP 8X doesn't do much, but the clock speed bumps do. The higher core and memory clocks make the GF4 MX 440 more competitive with the Radeon 9000 Pro, but the R9000's pixel and vertex shaders probably give it a bit of an edge at low and intermediate resolutions.
