ATTO transfer rates - Read 16MB
What happens when we increase the size of our chunk of data from 1 to 16MB? Something should, since 16MB is more than enough to overwhelm the caches of our hard drives.

Things get more interesting with a 16MB transfer size, though a few trends persist. Overall, 3ware's Escalade dominates the 16MB read tests across all RAID levels and easily outpaces the competition in all but the two-drive RAID 0 test. Adaptec's 2400A and Promise's FastTrak SX4000 are again poor performers in RAID 1. The FastTrak SX4000 picks itself up right away and bunches in with the rest of the pack for the remaining array configurations, but the 2400A turns in another comparatively low score for two-drive RAID 0.
