Antialiasing
Next, we'll isolate the GeForce FX 5600's performance in different antialiasing and anisotropic filtering modes. We've already had a glimpse of the card's performance with 4X antialiasing and 8X anisotropic filtering in our game tests, but this section will provide a more thorough look at the card's performance with these image quality features. Since the GeForce FX 5600 doesn't support 6X antialiasing using the same algorithm it uses at other sample sizes, I've included results for its 6XS antialiasing mode.

Edge antialiasing

The Detonator FX drivers continue to offer better performance than their predecessor, but the advantages here aren't as striking as they've been in previous tests.
