BIOS features
To no one's surprise, the IS7 continues the grand tradition that is Abit's SoftMenu. This feature is probably more responsible than any other for making Abit motherboards so popular among enthusiasts.

The multiplier control option is missing from the picture above because I was using a locked CPU when capturing the screenshots. Granted, unlocked Intel CPUs are rarer than hen's teeth, but if you happen to have one, the IS7 will let you set its multiplier. As you can see from the picture, Abit has included a CPU calculator of sorts, which responds to custom FSB settings by estimating the new clock speed of the CPU. It's a handy feature to have, if only because it can keep you from having to dig for a calculator when you're playing around with overclocking.

Here's a shot of the page containing RAM timings as well as the GAT feature. As you can see, GAT actually has four settings underneath the main one, allowing for a high degree of tweaking. Due to time constraints (and because the F1 setting was totally stable during all my testing), I didn't experiment with these other settings. For the patient tweaker, however, it's possible that even more performance is waiting to be found in these options.

Finally, here's a picture of the PC Health screen in the BIOS. There are still more monitored items below the bottom setting seen here, but this should give you an idea of the breadth of options available here.
