Memory performance
The following synthetic memory tests will give us a good indication of how the memory subsystem in the Pentium 4 570J (and the Intel 925X chipset) performs. These results aren't an indicator of overall performance, but they can give us some clues about why various CPUs perform as they do in real-world apps.

The P4 570J performs about as we'd expect in our synthetic memory tests. The Athlon 64's built-in memory controller gives it a big edge in terms of access latencies, but the Pentium 4 is able to make up some of that by aggressively pulling data into its L2 cache from main memory.
