Half-Life 2: Lost Coast
This new expansion level for Half-Life 2 makes use of high-dynamic-range lighting and some nice pixel shader effects to create an impressive-looking waterfront. We tested with HDR lighting enabled on all cards.

Newer video drivers seem to work against the GeForce 7900 GTX at lower resolutions, as it falls behind the GeForce 7800 GTX 512. At higher resolutions, the 7900 GT manages to outperform the Radeon X1900 XTX, but not by much. The absolute fastest config here, however, is the Radeon X1900 CrossFire rig.

Jump down the results a bit, and you'll find the GeForce 7900 GT a few ticks faster than the 7800 GTX, pretty much as one would expect. Name a possible competitor somewhere near its price point—the Radeon X1800 XT, Radeon X1800 XL, or the AIW X1900—and it has them all beaten.

The Radeon X1800 GTO and the GeForce 7600 GT remain locked in a very tight contest, but the 7600 GT retains a small lead here.
