Mobile PhysX chip coming, to draw just 10W

Ageia's current PhysX cards feature active cooling and seem to draw around 20W of power, but Ageia has apparently managed to cut that power envelope by half with a mobile version of its PhysX chip. Indeed, a report by The Inquirer states that a new PhysX physics processor dubbed 100M and aimed at notebooks will have a power envelope of just 10W.

The Inq says the 100M chip is a die-shrink of the original PhysX PPU, which is based on 130nm process technology. 100M-based PhysX boards will be available as PCI Express MXM modules for high-end gaming notebooks, including an upcoming XPS M1730 model from Dell.
