On Monday, we reported that Crytek's upcoming first-person shooter Crysis had gone gold and was on track for its November 16 launch date in North America and Europe. Shacknews now has word that another highly anticipated first-person shooter, Unreal Tournament 3, has reached gold status.
As Shacknews says, Epic's upcoming multiplayer first-person shooter is now ready to hit manufacturing. The title is officially scheduled to arrive on U.S. store shelves on November 19 in regular and collector's editions. The regular edition will be priced at $49.99, while the collector's edition will cost $59.99 and include a few extra goodies such as a limited-edition tin box, an art book, a bonus DVD with over 10 hours of mod tutorials, a behind-the-scenes video, and an Unreal Tournament history video.
Until November 19, a three-map "beta demo" of Unreal Tournament 3 can be downloaded over at FileShack. Make sure to check our GeForce 8800 GT review to check how the game performs on Nvidia's latest card and other high-end contenders, as well.
