Three K10-based Athlon X2s may arrive this month

Remember those Athlon X2 7000-series processors we spotted in leaked roadmaps last month? Well, Fudzilla has word that the first three chips in that lineup will come out later this month.

This looks like more than a simple rumor, too. Listings for an Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition have already appeared at a multitude of online retailers in Europe. According to this listing from French e-tailer LDLC, the Athlon X2 7750 has two 2.7GHz cores, 1MB of L2 cache (likely 512KB per core), 2MB of L3 cache, and a 95W thermal envelope. LDLC charges around €90 for both this chip and the Athlon X2 6000+, suggesting the U.S. price tag will end up in the $80-90 range.

Fudzilla writes that the Athlon X2 7000 series will also include 2.5GHz 7550 and 2.4GHz 7450 models, which will both share the 7750's cache and power specifications. Judging from the presence of L3 cache and the relatively high thermal envelopes, these CPUs could well be Phenoms with a couple of cores disabled.
