We're not seeing too many e-mails about new product launches in our inbox this week. Luckily, Toshiba and Thermaltake have made up for it with some new gaming goodies:

New Toshiba Qosmio X500 Series Delivers Extreme Mobile Performance. Now here's a meaty gaming laptop. This puppy has an 18.4" display, a choice of Core i5 and i7 processors from Intel, and GeForce GTX 460M discrete graphics from Nvidia. Users can also configure their Qosmio X500 with a Blu-ray drive, solid-state and mechanical storage combos, and up to 8GB of RAM.
Toshiba delivers built-in Harman Kardon speakers, as well, should you wish to unplug your headphones and really annoy your roommate (or that guy you're sitting next to on the plane, assuming the battery lasts for more than ten seconds with all that hardware running at full tilt). Pricing starts at $1,299.99, although that's almost definitely not for the top configuration.
