Dissonance recently bought himself a Minidisc player, and boy, did he open up a can of worms. Looking back at my ICQ history, my exact response was:

Minidisc = obsolete.

Ever the encouragement, me. Andy chimed in with this:

1992 called. They want their MD player back.

Dissonance couldn't get a break. We're too into MP3 players. But he seems happy with the thing, and he was gutsy enough to write up a full review of it for us here at TR. He's done a yeoman's job explaining why he likes the Minidisc format. And I don't even know what a yeoman is, really.

Anyhow, check out his review and decide for yourself if Minidisc is still the biz. Or whatever it was they said back then.
