Y2K problem blinds spy satellite network
by Scott Wasson — 12:11 AM on January 3, 2000

The Y2K bug certainly didn't usher in the apocalypse, but it may have taken out a U.S. reconnaissance satellite network for several hours on New Year's Eve.

Of course, we're not out of the woods yet on this Y2K stuff. Most of us will be returning to our daily work routines soon, and we may be in for a surprise or two. Also, organizations who have encountered problems may not be terribly forthcoming about 'em, since they're not terribly interested in being held liable by their customers, etc. Time will tell.

Maybe.
