Folks have been mailing us for a while now suggesting we put together some recommended system specs for our readers. Dissonance was brave enough to be first to hop out on a limb and try it. He's cooked up an ideal system spec for a student PC, complete with everything you'll need to compose that masterpiece of a term paper, watch DVD movies on the weekends, catch your favorite TV show, or humiliate your roomate in Quake III. Some of his choices are bound to be controversial, and the final price tag ain't cheap, but it's one heckuva a decent little PC for the price.
