Creative announces collaboration with id software

Creative has announced a collaboration with id Software that will bring EAX Advanced HD audio to the Doom 3 engine. The press release also mentions that the two companies reached an agreement on a Creative-patented shadowing technique, but doesn't go into much detail on that front. The shadowing technique in question may be related to this 3DLabs patent.
