Thanks all, and hard to believe I made this thread over 8 years ago now....amazing how many things have changed since then, for both me and the computer field. I think I had just changed my rig from an Abit KG7 RAID to the Abit NF7S..RIP Abit. My current Core2 duo system is getting a little long in the tooth now, but I figure I can milk another year or so out of it. Going to miss my PS/2 ports and floppy drive though...maybe I can find me a PCIe card with PS/2 ports on it :D Will also miss my trusty PCI cards too, my trusty IDE card Ive been using for ages along with my Audigy 2.

That would be very Gleekish, or very Prince-like.

Only a month to the ten-year mark here, but I didn't participate in the forums regularly for several years. Closing in on 5k posts, though.

Well another year in the can, and another post in this thread. 10 years in the can since I started this thread, where did all the time go? Its really amazing just how much computer tech has changed in those years, we now have SSD's bigger than the platter discs we had back then. We also have video cards pushing more pixels than we though possible back then, along with several new OSes since ye olde windows XP. Windows has changed from 32 bit to 64 bit and now we have loads of memory to play around with, and processors with more cores then we know what to do with since the days of the single core P4 and athlons.

Here is to 10 years of TR and hopefully another 10. :D

Ten years, wow. I lurked here before I actually signed up, and it's been lots of fun. Nice that so many of us are still here, even though some gerbils came and went, we still have many original members, and happily, lots of new ones as well!

EDIT: ~2.5 posts per day over the last eight years that I have my account. I am DARTH GERBIL!

Think I missed to celebrate my 10 years here, and I will be away for my eleventh, so heres to a pre-celebration of my 11th comming up.

I was quite early and still read at times, dont have time to post nearly as much as in the beginning though. But I wonder how many of us early birds that are still around on the site and active/semi-active...

Well officially a little past the 10 year anniversary of the first post..was a little busy with my Bday and blizzcon this year. Officially hit the big 40 on the 8th :D Hopefully there will be another happy 10 years at TR. I was happy I was able to make the BBQ this year again after missing the last few, amazing how far it has came since the first few of us in frobozz's back yard. This year I also finally replaced my boot drive from spinning platters to a SSD, along with a massive rig rebuild. Thanks to all my fellow gerbils for making TR a great place to hang out. :D Cheers.

Goodbye Khanhood, hello Admiralty

So with this one my post odometer rolls over from 9999 to five digits... just 12 years after I started. Would've been nice to have that coincide with the 10 year anniversary, but my post rate has slowed a lot in the last few years (there was a time, a couple of thousand posts ago, where Flying Fox and I were neck-and-neck). So I waited for today, when my personal odometer also rolls over to another round number.

I've got another half-century in me. To 10000... and beyond!

Took me long enough to reach Gerbil Elite.

I always posted a lot more in the article comments than the forums. I think "Gerbil XP" needs to be changed now that XP has been discontinued for support.

"Gerbil Vista" perhaps?

Like age and weight, some numbers get so large it's polite just to not mention them.
