After several listens, I have to say that "Anesthetize" (third track from "Fear Of A Blank Planet") is, quite simply, one of the most brilliant pieces of music ever conceived. Alex Lifeson (of Rush) even has a guest guitar solo, which seems appropriate given that -- at nearly 18 minutes long -- "Anesthetize" hearkens back to the days when Rush had a habit of doing extended LP-side-long (or nearly so) epics.

They opened for Enter The Haggis (mentioned in my previous post) over in Kalamazoo at Bell's Eccentric Cafe, and we picked up both of their CDs at the show. Just got around to listening to them in the past couple of days and I'm hooked.

You can't NOT boogie to this. You just can't.
