What we have today is way too much pluribus and not enough unum.

The Cuyahoga has been cleaned up tremendously since then. In the past ten years or more, you have been able to take pleasant dinner cruises up and down the river and along the shore of the lake. Some of the old factories have been converted to trendy shopping malls, pubs, restaurants, apartments, etc.

True. But I'll quote a bad country movie here: It's a funny thing about the little white speck on top of chicken ****. It's still chicken ****.

I can't believe I just saw this post now!! I almost fell out of my chair.

Thanks for the reference articles J.A.E. The river IS much cleaner now and is really a main attraction on the weekends. "The Flats" are on each side of the river and have clubs, bars, and restaurants all with docks so people can "park" their boats right there and go in. There are water taxis that you take to the other side too. Really fun in the summer.

The warehouse apartments are sweet BTW.

The view of the Flats is awful in that one link. All the good stuff is to the left of that picture.
