I totally forgot this thread was around.
I'd say now, internet is just another place to meet people, but if you let it take up all your time, and interfere with other relationships eg. family, then it's going way too far.
Just my point of view, there are many people that have had successes online.

Yeah, internet has become a medium just like the personal ads in the newspaper were once. It's a place where you can meet people and sometimes people want something more than just meet and talk. Just keep it healthy, I mean by that, don't let the internet interfere with your real social life and obligations.
