"Official" Holiday Greetings Thread

Fri Dec 13, 2002 6:03 am

Ok, so I've got 5 minutes of work left before our offices close for the holidays. (!!!) And I'm posting this because it will (most probably) be my last for the year.

I'm driving down to Cape Town tonight to spend some time in the place I love with the ppl I love. (I live in Jo'burg for... financial... reasons. If I didn't, I wouldn't have finances!)

So anyway, if you're going somewhere and won't be around TR for a while, or if you just want to post your 'seasons greetings' here, go right ahead.

I, for one, wish all of you a very merry holiday season, a memorable Christmas and a raucus New Year!

Have a good one,
JQ

Hi JohnnyQ. I wish you a Merry Christmas too, and I hope you have a great time with the people you love. I've got a week off work and will be spending Christmas with family, friends and my young lady. I really love this time of year. Anyway, to anyone else who's reading......

.....Merry Christmas

 I only get the freakin' Xmas day off -- none of the days before and after. About 80% of our customers take both weeks off and I'm stuck staring at a silent phone (and reading TR :P ).

I'm turning this into a How Long Did It Take Before Your Family Fight for the Holidays Broke Out? thread.

Mine was on Christmas eve. It began when [details withheld] and I can tell you I've never seen such immaturity in a grown man before.

For a buddy of mine it happened on Christmas day. By the end of that day the both of us were in a club/cafe overlooking Camps Bay in Cape Town with no family anywhere in sight. Bliss.

So, I'll join Intelmole in saying BAH HUMBUG!

Family, like drugs, are best taken in small doses and even then it'll probably do you more harm than good! :)
