paulWTAMU wrote:Oh, it wasn't full auto. I can't afford to play in those circles. I didn't see it, but knowing the seller it was likely a semi Thompson replica in good to great condition. It's even in a caliber I reload. But I don't want one, really. I'm not much of a history buff and a design from the 30s (or whenever) is not interesting to me and my taste for innovation. Remember, I'm the dude who bought a Vector because of the recoil management system.you you you BAD GUN NUT! You passed on a Thompson?
That's not even on my wish list that's on my "it'd be awesome but I'd have to win the lotto list", at least for a true full auto one.

Honest.I only want a few more guns total. 3 more handguns, 2-3 more rifles and I'm good, so I'd rather not spend my money and limited space/time/storage on great-for-their-time but not as useful for what I want firearms.

Honestly, I would be much less interested in an original from 100 years ago, except as a potential investment. I think I'm with DarkMage on this one...
paulWTAMU wrote:I like them but for the size and weight I can get more modern firearms that shoot equally well and hold a ton more ammo. Or I can get the same capacity in much smaller and easier to carry guns
