The Snows of Kilimanjaro by Ernest Hemingway

Hemingway is my anti Stephen King, his books start out slow but I love the endings.

How much time do you have? Umm...

-All in One CompTIA A+ Certification Exam Guide by Mike Meyers
-All in One CompTIA Network+ Certification Exam Guide, also by Mike Meyers
-Sam's Teach Yourself: Networking by Joe Habraken and Matt Hayden
-TCP/IP Jumpstart: Internet Protocol Basics by Andrew G. Blank
-Workbook 10. Network Applications of Red Hat Academy 030: Linux Essentials
-How Linux Works: What Every Superuser Should Know by Brian Ward
-Sam's Teach Yourself Unix (Second Edition) by Dave Taylor and James C. Armstrong

I've also got a copy of Sam's Teach Yourself: Web Publishing with HTML and CSS that I thumb through for reference on occasion (this Sam guy really knows hit s***...)

And when I become convinced I can't cram any more information into my head (I get this feeling just about every day), I have my faithful copy of Douglas Adams' The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide: Five Complete Novels and One Short Story...

Before anyone jumps in to point out that I can't possibly be reading all of this at once, my reply is, I do so only a little at a time, but yes, I am currently reading through all of these books slowly but surely.

As much as I'm enjoying Choke, I don't think I dare look at his website while at work.

Cybermancy - Kelly McCullough

Feet of Clay - Terry Pratchett

2 school books, one on XP Pro and one A+ prep.

When I'm done with the two fiction books, I'll probably start Diamond Age again and finally finish it.

As a couple previous posters stated, it's a good read.

I enjoy learning, and that's a big part of this book for me. For example, I learned about seeds yesterday. A large percentage of wild almonds contain a lethal amount of cyanide, some seeds need to pass through an animal's digestive track to germinate, etc.

It all just reminds me that humans are another species on this planet and like the rest we need to move, die, or adapt to our ever changing environment(s). Survivors are not always the strongest or the most advanced....and sometimes survival means the eradication of another life-form.

I read Chuck Palahniuk's "RANT" in between chapters on Guns, Germs, and Steel. It was smaller and made for a better travel book.

It's a fun read too. I love Chuck's books. Sick and twisted at its best. I hear they made Choke into a movie and are maybe working on Invisible Monsters. Choke and Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake are two of my all time favorite novels. I'm sad when books like those end.
