So I just finished digging out both of the vehicles you can see in that last pic. I debated whether to finish shoveling out behind the rear one, since it'll just get plowed in when the plow comes through again -- they did one pass yesterday afternoon (just a single lane up the middle of the street), and are supposedly coming through again at some point. But given that temperatures were hovering just below freezing this afternoon, I figured it was worth the gamble that I might need to shovel the last bit of the driveway twice, in exchange for a chance that I might not need to shovel it at 6:30 AM tomorrow when I leave for work and temperatures are expected to be around -5F!
Oh, and our next-door neighbors buried the fire hydrant (again...) when they shoveled their driveway. I guess I need to have a talk with them about that. After shoveling the cars out, I grabbed a broom handle and probed around for the hydrant until I found it so I could dig it out too...
The years just pass like trains. I wave, but they don't slow down.
