Hell, I was amused when they put a man on BBC News called Michael Jackson :-D "WOW!" :-D

And here I was thinking this was a thread about a crappy Channel 5 series :-D

Back on topic - The Core = Lead Balloon

Goldeneye was actually a VERY decent Bond movie, possibly in the top few... mind you, the bike stunts on Tomorrow Never Dies impressed... and you gotta admit the Chinese agent was hot

To tell you the truth, I really haven't sat down to watch the Bond movies. A blessing in disguise?

Goldeneye grew on me the second time I watched it, and it is definetly one of my fav Bond flicks now. The latest one, well, let's just say it will really have to grow on me the second time for me to like it.

Eckslax: not sure. Some of them, well, yeah, shouldn't have been made. But some of them were wonderfully enteraining. If you ever want to see product placement in a movie, watch Moonraker.

I have a really bad feeling that the Bond films are gonna go pete tong...
They've run out of novels now... I wouldn't be surprised to see Dr. Evil's nuclear devices going to the core in the next one...

Haven't seen the latest bond film... when/if they end, that'll be one valuable DVD boxset though...

Brosnan IMO is better than Dalton, if only because the one-liners Dalton got were so crappy, but I don't think he had the "Bond-persona." He always looks like the one who got bullied at school, had spots till he was 30 and had one girlfriend in the last 10 years...

Brosnan the best Bond IMO... the films have really let him express the other side of Bond... the bit about being a cold-blooded murderer (Goldeneye), which I think is vital to the image of Bond.

Oh, and nicateen420, this is a film thread... what, you thought people would stop making the posts, just because no-one wants to look at them and the jokes are lame and cliched?

i was pointing out the irony in that *edit by Clarpet* (no period)
and then because your post offended me I chose to pick on your spelling... WHICH, I might add, doesn't take a WHOLE lot of mentally facilities...*please check your grammar Mr. Porn* a similar case being NOT using "uhms" and "huhs" when you speak... takes MINIMAL effort *again no period*
and the idea that proofreading a bit of text, WHICH you are writing mind you, which is all of about say 30 characters long requires too much time? lol, why? you obviously have enough time to post a reply in the forums... if you don't have enough time to check yourself on 1*edit by Clarpet - a number should not be used unless representing placement of a pre-designated numbered subject - i.e. if you mean "one" thing....use "one"...if you'd like to order a #1...use "1"* line of text, how do you justify having time to post it in the first place? lol... I LOVE people who use time as an excuse in this type of situation... if you DID NOT have time, you wouldn't even be replying lol

hey, a good way to avoid this time of brewhaha *brewhaha is not a word Mr. Porn*would be to :

a) spell things correctly the first time
b) post replies only when you have something constructive or genuinely funny to say (belittling does not count as funny mind you)...
c) don't reply if your BUSY schedule eats up too much of your time to proofread the 6 words you just wrote

btw have you seen the movie "Catch me if you can"?

KNOCK, KNOCK...

I'll leave ya on that note

First I'd like to say that this guy (ManofPorn) is an jerk. Shut up. Are you a teacher? And even if you are, this is a forum, people intentional spell things wrong. And here you criticizing someone for their name and their misspelling...whoops...did I spell that right? Hmm..oh I'm not perfect :). And as far as creative names goes...come on dude! Man of Porn? You obviously have a degree in creativity. You must have a license to be perfect too...as I see you've made no mistakes....except the ones I pointed out....including the fact that you didn't even capatalize the first letter of every sentence...or when speaking of self, as in using "I" to describe self....Freud would say this indicates a lack of self-esteem, obviously stemming from over-use of porn.

I'll leave you on that note. :) (By the way, your paper failed. Please correct your mistakes in your final draft. Thank you)

---And now for the point I was going to make to all the other ladies and gents in the room :)....I read Scientific American a lot, and apparently there is a lot of evidence that a situation as such is represented in this movie, The Core, is actually likely to occur, though on a smaller scale, with in this century. There is already evidence of birds getting confused which direction is south due to instability in the poles (magnetic poles mind you) which are directly controled by the core of the planet. If you are really interested in this, check out http://www.sciam.com. They have a lot of really cool articles for free, as well as a montly mag. Later!

While instability in the Earth's core is a good bit, DRILLING to the CENTER of the EARTH to stop it? Gimme a break. By the time such a tactic becomes feasible, we'll be capable of jumping in our shuttlecraft and popping over to the summer house on the Moon to wait it out.

Well, actually riding in the vessel that would accomplish such a feat is probably not feasible at this time...HOWEVER, the SOLUTION is right on. The magnetism is thrown off by accumulation of solid portions of the core in certain areas, among other things...this can cause the poles to invert or at least mis-align, which obviously leads to a multitude of other things...the idea behind a nuclear explosion is to rattle it loose and back into proper motion...while also kicking out a large electro-magnetic charge to kind of jump-start the core. Its actually similar to a theory currently scientists are researching to resolve exactly the same issue, as it WILL occur within this century, roughly.

Do they have summer on the moon?

Clarpet, you should actually be honoured for that... by the Queen and all...

you missed a few non-capitalisations, but hey, nobody's perfect...

While I think of it, isn't there a convention not to use numbers in a paragraph unless the number is bigger than 20 odd... Not being picky but am generally interested in whether this is a rule or a general good idea that I was taught...

Congrats again,

I don't know what the rule is, maybe we should ask MoP...he's the grammer/language arts teacher right?

I'm pretty sure when talking about "amounts" of things, you really are supposed to just spell it out...I dunno. who cares? are we in a forum or what?

hang on...wait...yep..I'm floating...there goes the damn poles again....now where's my compass?....I lost it somewhere between the " and the .

I can think of a whole different austin that I wanna see Jaws eat. :)) He can have Mini-Me and Mini-Austin at the same time for a 3-course meal.
He who quotes others often has nothing to say for himself.
