I'm building a system for my graphics arts friend:

win2k sp3, dx9
Leadtek k7ncr18g pro mobo,
Athlon XP 2500+
512 MB PC2700
120 GB HD
52x CD-RW

He's on a tight budget, so we're using the integrated video for now. only thing is, any program that uses direct x crashes back to the desktop within 5 minutes. we can run games with openGL, but no dx.

Any sugestions? Thanks!

Odd. Try a reformat and reinstall, but first try some different VGA drivers. They can be installed/updated separately from the nForce ones.

I forgot to mention, I installed the 43.45 (or whatever the newest nVidia) drivers. I also had reformatted it and re-installed windows, and it was still doing it. I flashed the bios to the newest version, and that didn't fix anything either.
