Dates are completely open at this point. Throw some out and I'll check on them.

Sorry about your loss Josh, maybe I can make it up to you with a good deal on that L220x? I took it off my desk today to work on my triple stand - I may have shed a tear... Did the VGA input die too? Also IIRC some (one?) of the inputs could ONLY take a progressive scan input - do the interlace friendly ones work or are they dead as well?

I've not tried the VGA as I don't really have anything to hook to it, i dropped the 360 down to the 480p input and it works fine, really gaming was the only thing I used the hd input for so it's not a huge loss, it's still the right format for wide screen shows though so it's cool, it's still a great tv aside from any time you want to move it, then you realize it weighs give or take... a ton.

June is bad, July is wide open, first week of August is bad.

Throw some dates at me and I'll tell you if I can or not.

When did Cyril move to Canada? I must admit I may have been missing out on the news. :o

Looks like I'm going to have to deliver our official apology, as we're not going to be able to attend, this year. We've got a ton of stuff going on this summer, and it just won't be feasible for us to make it up. Sorry, all. The BBQs are a blast, but this year, we're going to have to pass.

Still trying to figure out what dates I can offer... As always I need to wait to see who is going to be at the cottage and when before I can ask them if they mind us crashing in on them. My aunt might not be coming out this year so our options may be limited to when my uncle will be there. Will keep this thread updated as I learn more.

There's actually a chance I can come to the BBQ this year. Early July (like, first week) is probably best for me, but I won't pretend like my preference for a 'maybe attendee' means anything. Still would be fun to come out! At least I'm trying :)

I've got confirmed possible dates!

Either the 21st or the 28th of August.

I decided to exercise my familial right and just take a week of my own to be out there. I guess I'd prefer the 21st but if the people's will is to have it on the 28th I can just pretend it's a two day early birthday party. Since I've got both days covered regardless we don't have to make a final call until the last minute, but those are our two options.

August 28th would be better, but the 21st might work as well. I will probably be family-less this year and just drive up and back on the same day. We shot the family vacation budget on our Grand Deep South Tour of 2010.

I'm fairly certain that my school year will have started by the 28th, so 21st is my vote.

I'm going to call the 21st the official date. It just works better for a lot of reasons.

Wow, a confirmed date an no new replies in over a week...

I just wanted to mention that since this time it will be MY week out there instead of us crashing in on my unsuspecting relatives we have a little more leeway with things like camping out on the beach that night or even coming in early the night before - if people want to avoid hotels or whatever. Of course so many people have small children that camping might not be too tempting. However, we won't need to be as shy about using the cottage either, if it rains or something I won't have to use my house as a fall back plan since we can just chill inside beach side instead. :)

Sorry been a little busy lately.

I do have a work event that weekend, I might be able to beg off. Nothing that is required I think.

Wow, some work places are SO much more organized than mine. :o

Well, it would suck if you couldn't make it but let me know ASAP so I can start working on my cooking skills... Not that you're doomed to cook for us forever, I just assume, I mean you seem to enjoy it well enough. :)

I was just at a BBQ in Texas. Subbs BBQ.

Nice place to catch a concert, too. For the other poster, yes, I traveled to the BBQ on the Lake in '07

If the 21st is the date, I will likely be there sans family. I'd drive up and back on the same day.

Shouldn't this thread be stickied and the other one unsticked?
