I have a *favourite* pet peeve?
lol
Anyways, I have a list...
- People who beep me while I'm on my bike, either to scare me or because I don't have lights (I didn't anyways...)
- Ignorance
- People who are too shallow to watch TV properly...
-> People who beep me:
Perhaps the worst example of this was a while back (if anyone knows Kent, it was the Isle of Sheppey, which kinda explains a lot
http://www.sheppeyscum.com)
I didn't have any lights (got stolen lol) and I was riding home in the dark with a bottle in one hand... as I went to take a drink out of this, some bloke comes past about 10 mph over the limit and honks me as loud as he could...
Now, I know I'm in the wrong there, but honking me? Put yourself there... some kid on his own in the dark, riding one-handed while taking a drink, and you honk him? Not gonna make him fall off is it?
I didn't as it happens...
Now I have lights, but people still beep me when I'm coming home at night, just to pee me off... what's the point exactly?
-> Ignorance
Look no further than my dad. Prime example. Love him and all, but... yeah
He knows I have a thing about him eating noisily (well, everyone). It's something I mention virtually every day, and it's about the number one cause of arguments in my family. Yet every time he goes and gets a packet of crisps, he seems to just try and rustle the packet as much as possible. Every time he eats, he'll do it with his mouth open, so I can hear everything that I really don't want to, and he does this seemingly just to spite me.
That sort of thing...
-> Shallowness:
A good example of this was The Eurovision Song Contest a few days ago (congrats to the UK
). About halfway into the first song I caught, my mum comes out with:
"I don't like that dress she's wearing."
WTF? Does that have anything to do with the song? The show? Anything?
Other examples include watching the news reporters, and she (or my sister) comment on the clothes they're wearing, or their size, or their makeup...
lol, that became rather long... but I feel much better now
