Car alarms. Car alarms that go off all the time for apparently no reason. When was the last time you heard a car alarm go off and actually thought it was an indication of a car being stolen? Car alarms are worthless and they suck. :x

Celebrities who think their political views and opinions are so important that they must be broadcast to the gullible and misinformed youth of this country. The MTV generation then proceeds to believe every word without question and they base their own opinions on that. No wonder kids today are so ignorant. That is why I am ashamed to be lumped in with the rest of the teenagers these days.

I agree, women drivers are dangerous. I just saw one woman the other day putting on makeup, curling her hair, and talking on a cell phone while doing 80+ on the freeway :o . I slowed down and let her fly past me, as I did not want to get killed by her.

I wonder how a man would drive when trying to do the same things as those women.. :lol: Probably not as well.

The worst thing here though are drivers that instead of breaking some ways before a road crossing, they hit it just before with squealing tyres and then expect the walker crossing to know he meant to let em past. Who dares to walk in front of lunatics like that, if they break a bit before, then the walker can walk in safety over, and the cars is on their way so much faster. Almost had a guy in front of me mown down a lady with a baby cart when i was practice driving. And after that, he did the same thing just two blocks away, such people should be put against the wall and shot. :evil:

Gun control activists.

They obviously don't read the data--when gun control is inacted in a particular place, the crime rate significantly increases. They can't seem to understand that gun laws don't take guns out of criminals' hands because THEY'RE CRIMINALS AND DON'T FOLLOW THE LAW ANYWAY!!!!
Around 250,000 gun licenses were issued in Florida between 1987 and 1994, and out of all of those, 18 licensees committed a (known) crime with a gun. That's .0072 percent for those who count. Even adjusting liberally for unknown cases, it'd be nowhere near the 2500 cases needed to constitute (still only) 1 percent.

Why take guns away from these people, who are safe with them?

They can't get beyond thinking of Little Johnny accidentally shooting himself or someone else--far more children die each year of falling in the bathtub or down the stairs than die of self-inflicted gunshot wounds. And I wouldn't trade higher general crime rates for a couple fewer kid-goes-crazy incidents.

All the liberals will be shocked and appalled, but that's life. Shocking and appalling.

Have a nice day! :D

What pisses me off are these little turds that think the middle of the street is a sidewalk. I'll be driving down a street and they see you coming, and then they expect YOU to go around them.

Yeah, and you honk at them and they ask you, "What are you honking at?"

I really wish it were legal to run over those failures of natural selection. 8)

I have a *favourite* pet peeve?

lol

Anyways, I have a list...

- People who beep me while I'm on my bike, either to scare me or because I don't have lights (I didn't anyways...)

- Ignorance

- People who are too shallow to watch TV properly...

-> People who beep me:

Perhaps the worst example of this was a while back (if anyone knows Kent, it was the Isle of Sheppey, which kinda explains a lot http://www.sheppeyscum.com)

I didn't have any lights (got stolen lol) and I was riding home in the dark with a bottle in one hand... as I went to take a drink out of this, some bloke comes past about 10 mph over the limit and honks me as loud as he could...

Now, I know I'm in the wrong there, but honking me? Put yourself there... some kid on his own in the dark, riding one-handed while taking a drink, and you honk him? Not gonna make him fall off is it?

I didn't as it happens...

Now I have lights, but people still beep me when I'm coming home at night, just to pee me off... what's the point exactly?

-> Ignorance

Look no further than my dad. Prime example. Love him and all, but... yeah :-D

He knows I have a thing about him eating noisily (well, everyone). It's something I mention virtually every day, and it's about the number one cause of arguments in my family. Yet every time he goes and gets a packet of crisps, he seems to just try and rustle the packet as much as possible. Every time he eats, he'll do it with his mouth open, so I can hear everything that I really don't want to, and he does this seemingly just to spite me.

That sort of thing...

-> Shallowness:

A good example of this was The Eurovision Song Contest a few days ago (congrats to the UK :lol:). About halfway into the first song I caught, my mum comes out with:

"I don't like that dress she's wearing."

WTF? Does that have anything to do with the song? The show? Anything?

Other examples include watching the news reporters, and she (or my sister) comment on the clothes they're wearing, or their size, or their makeup...

lol, that became rather long... but I feel much better now :-D,

I'm 18 mate.

Riding at night's not all that different really. Just take a little more care about what you're doing, and also what other people are doing, don't make any sudden turns etc., and try to avoid speed-ass spots.

Oh, and bring some lights :-D I remember there's this one road that I have to go down on the way back from that trip I mentioned in the other post, it's a good half-mile long and has NO lights at all... going down that in the dark with no lights is scary :-D

Oh, and that reminds me, people who go down the road past you with their lights on full beam, so you can barely see the road, let alone any detail on it...

That's also annoying,

I hate car drivers that buzz you when you're on your bike when you're already as far over on the right side of the road as you can be.

It doesn't seem like liscensing has helped the drivers in your state, what makes you think it will be effective with cyclists? :wink:

I'd have to say that my biggest pet peeve is people who drive 2 miles UNDER the speed limit IN THE FAST LANE, right next to someone else sitting on the correct side of the road for slow @ssholes and won't merger, won't speed up, won't slow down, basically won't get the hell outta the way. :evil:

As you can see, this really bothers me. Now I'm gonna go to my corner and cower for a while before I bite someone's head off
:oops:

I was just giving you a hard time. 8)

BTW, to add one more to my list, people who take video/computer games WAY too seriously. I've been playing Delta Force: Black Hawk Down recently, and I saw somebody call another player a "Gaylord Baseraper." Now, if that isn't showing maturity, I don't know what would...

I do phone support and one peeve I have is when people eat/drink while talking on the phone. I hate hearing that "gulp gulp" as they drink coffee or whatever.

Oooh, having to speak with people on the phone for a living could almost be another pet peeve. If I never work another tech support/customer service job in my life, I could consider myself to be a happy human being.
