I just passed my junior year (11th grade for those not in US) I'm skipping my part time job (last day of school, and my boss (a teacher) got held up at school)

I work for a lawn service/land scaping. it's nice to get the best of both worlds, the whole not moving bit, then excersise. I laugh at the people who hire a company to mow their lawn so they can go to the gym....

Sorry to bump an old thread but id rather do that then repost a thread that already exists. It was a curiousity thing I wanted to post and instead it is bumphammered.

I work part-time at a server colocation farm that I don't want to post so I don;t look like an advertising shill. Main responsibility is installing CentOS or WS2k3, fixing what breaks, and condascendingly laughing at the people who have servers running Win XP Gold and being shocked at security holes. Not much actually happens so I also clean. I want more hours but i have no time due to the fact that i'm a student at University of Toronto Mississauga in the process of switching from Philosophy to Computer Science, and I'm halfway through a diploma program at Sheridan Institute of Tech in programming

I'm a resident in psychiatry (if you would translate my title in English titles). Actual title is ASO (arts in specialistische opleiding - doctor in postgrad) - same abbreviation they use for school between 12-18. I do hold the MD title, and am now hunting to make it PhD.

I am 32 and have two jobs. I am a partner in a company that does environmental compliance testing on underground fuel storage tanks. I have been doing that for fourteen years. I also work on commercial construction projects putting up iron and running heavy equipment. I have been doing the construction gig for 18 years. Not many 32 year olds can say they have 18 years of experience on the job.

I am a SAP specialist. My "specialty" is testing end user access for appropriateness. We wouldn't want people to be able to write a check and process it, now would we?

I do this to support the IT Audit, which supports the overall financial audit. Actually, I guess I do the IT Audit primarily, but nowadays it feels like all I do is test SAP access.

Corrado, I know ti's not your fault, but I think this new SmartZone webmail sucks.

I work for a pretty large software company that specializes in solutions for government agencies, including software for court systems, municipal financial management, appraisal/tax services, and K-12 student data management. I work on one of two web apps in the K-12 market, currently servicing 10 or 12 states (I forget exactly) including IL and MO as software support and part-time QA.

edit: I just made that sound a WHOLE LOT more interesting than it actually is.

I also work part-time for my church as a choir director for two choirs - one English handbells and one teen group.
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

Project Estimator for a construction company. Usually handle all things computer/network related here but its nothing complicated with only 10 pcs on site. I have a solid grasp on Sage's Timberline and PeachTree. To keep me happy, I make small programs using VB to help make my job more efficient. I've managed to automate so many tasks that I might be running myself out of my own job.

I actually moved out of the consulting business and into a full time Admin gig. Currently I am doing an AD redesign, implementing an 5 node and 3 node VMware ESX HA clusters and managing 160TB of SAN space. Along with help managing an 80 unit server room.

Rather mundane. ;)

Wow . . . . .when this thread started, I was a Land Surveyor for a Telecommunications company in Markham. After that, I went to an Architectural firm in Woodbridge as a Land Development Engineer (so they called it) for 4.5 years. Now I work for the City of Toronto - Buildings Division as a Zoning Examiner.

I do nothing right now. Just got laid off a couple weeks ago, but I'm looking to get back into school to become a radiology technician/MRI specialist. Hopefully I qualify for the new government re-training thing so they can foot the bill.

Sorry to hear that Hoser. . . . I was thinking about you when all these layoffs started happening actually, since I knew you worked in a factory.

Did they let alot of people go? How is Hamilton dealing with this cause there is alot of factories out there right?
