My memory is clear enough until we got around the fire and you know how it is. ABV is only your friend for a while. Funny how it tends to be cumulative.

Back at ya Gleek. My favorite of yours must be the Unexpected Sour from Lit'l Spit'l Brewery. I give it 3.5 bottle caps.

It probably didn't help that the homebrewed Belgian Dubbel was over on your side of the fire. Stuff's around 8.5% ABV, but doesn't taste like it.

Well, wish I could have made it but finances were tight and no way I could get out of work. Hopefully I will be able to make it next year, esp since it has been a few since last time I was there...esp since I was one of the firsts when we had it in frobozz's back yard lol :D

If I make it again next year I may be able to give you a ride. IIRC you're sort of on my way?

I am bummed that I missed this one. I am interviewing on Thursday with a company in GRR, so perhaps next year I'll be local again... Time will tell.
I have nothing more to say about that.

Well, maybe if you had saved some of your vacation time for AFTER the BBQ, rather than having the BBQ at the tail end, you could have been there for sparklers! ..wasn't really a fight though, unless you count the time I accidentally lit my sparkler from the bottom end and it spat hot embers at me! I was left standing in the end though, and it was burnt out \o/

Also, if Ivan in his Doggles doesn't cut it as mascot, and it's rodents you're after, I can offer up my pet rats under magnifying glasses, as rats are better than gerbils anyhow!

And last but not least, a HUGE thank you to everyone who was able to show up! You made for very enjoyable company, and a lovely overall event! See you next year ^^

LOL! That is almost, but not quite as good as the chef's perk. Since I get to make them any time I want! :D

Sorry I missed you, but having spent the week house sitting, and not being at home I totally needed to get back to catch up on things. Next year if can stay over again I am thinking about a breakfast casserole for those that come clean up in the morning. :D

I know everyone thanks me for coming early (minus one year) and putting to getting the core of the feast. I, however, would like to thank everyone for being so very welcoming to me back this year even though there were a few changes. Really, I missed the event and the people a great deal last year. I truly enjoy having such a good outcome and everyone enjoying themselves.

I am really looking forward to next year.

Thanks everyone for coming this year! We had a wonderful time and it was a great way to kick off our vacation! Drfish loves hosting this event and every year he tries to top the last. I am excited/terrified to see what he dreams up for next year! Thanks to everyone who makes this event so awesome, the BBQ is our favorite time of the year!

I didn't get the chance to talk to you in person really, but I had wanted to welcome you back too! :) And thank you for tackling the ribs. I'm, of course, partial to my mom's recipe, but that seemed a little overwhelming to her last year, so I appreciate you relieving that stress, and taking it on for yourself. They certainly accomplish the task of deliciously feeding the masses very well :d
See you next year!

I, for one, welcome the return of our ribs overlord :)
(Although Mama Fish's Ribs were great as well)

Also, no one can touch Mama Fish's Corn. I now bow to her superior corn knowledge and know that husking, not shucking, is what you do when you prepare the corn :)

I didn't have any ribs, but the burgers were back and that was all I needed.

Its also nice to know who to pay corn homage to. I'm not a huge fan of corn on the cob but that corn was slap-yo-mamma good
