I'll consider them next time I have an order. Thanks.

I got my Discover card to work again at Newegg tonight, so things appear to be back to normal again.

Still can't get RK-9000s shipped to IL. Though given the redesign (crappy fragile USB connector), I guess it isn't a huge loss.

Newegg's gone back to having trouble with Discover Card.

They've arbitrarily cancelled two of my orders after Discover Card approved the charges.

Not that it really matters to me personally since I don't have a Discover card, but seriously... WTF? Why in the world would they cancel the order after the charge went through successfully? That's just goofy.

Would not be surprised if Newegg is arguing with Discover over rates. This kind of behavior typically occurs when either party is attempting to strong arm the other.

Oh? I'll have to keep an eye out for this. I just placed an order late last night (well, really early this morning, actually) using my Discover card. It's approved and packaging, supposedly, but now I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

JAE. Any luck with your order (or did you give up and try to purchase with another card?)

Looks like my order from Monday night went through.

What a load of crap. This has nothing to do with protecting the environment; it's just a money-grab by the state of IL to get manufacturers to pay fees and fines. If I were Rosewill, I'd refuse to sell in those states as well. The consumer eventually pays higher prices and/or has less products to choose from.

Thread necro...

For whatever reason, it looks like the RK-9000I and RK-9000BRI aren't restricted like the RK-9000s with the black enclosures. Not sure why. But they're fugly, and they also appear to have the same poorly designed USB connector as the later RK-9000s.

Ugh, those are ugly.

At this point I think the leopold keyboards are probably the best bang for your buck.

Looks like they have listened? The new illuminated models have the USB cable just mounted to the body.
The Model M is not for the faint of heart. You either like them or hate them.

They kinda look like the early-2000s era Apple keyboards, which were all black caps on a transparent body. The effect is the same - it's hiddeous.

The one thing to mention about the leopolds is that I think they use cherry stabilizers instead of costar ones. I've never used them myself, but people say they don't like them because they make the double-wide (think enter, spacebar, shift, etc) keys have a "gummier" feel. Also, costar stabilizers are dirt cheap to replace if any of the parts ever break or bend: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/ ... rts-1.html (scroll to bottom)
