So...
http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ee85/? ... red_1_ee85I just ordered this as an impulse buy, together with overseas shipping and everything. (And a
personal soundtrack shirt.) At a time when I thought
I would not spend on anything else now for the rest of this year.
Should I be ashamed of myself? Would you be?
Edit: wow, also the three thousandth post.

I bought that last month. And now I am the envy of every geek in the office. Although I get asked what is it and laugh just as hard.

Not particularly, I was looking for a point of discussion.
While I'm looking forward to trying out the turret, I'm almost certain the t-shirt will have two orders of magnitude better useful longevity. I can't wait to show it off as I enter the office in the morning. I wonder if I should go with crowd noise, a laughing track, applause, some random line from Inspector Gadget or Star Wars, or Gangnam Style.

Thinkgeek is great. There's always something there that I think I want, but I talk myself out of it.

Yeah, that soundtrack t-shirt looks pretty awsome. Lightsaber sounds would be cool but will probably get you beat up if you use them too often.

I got a bad bug to upgrade my TV, still not sure when I will pull the trigger on that one. So I can appreciate these impulses coming along. And that would cost 25 times what you spent, easy.

Yeah, my problem is buying things just because they are a fantastic deal.
I bought 32GB memory for $100.
1600 notebook cas 10. A year ago you would pay over a grand(if you bought with notebook)
I know I will never run enough VM or intensive photoshop to max. it out...but heck...who could pass up a deal like that.
Not really a great savings though...I had to buy A Lenovo W530 so I could use it all....
