With the digital speed display on the front.

And the Turbo button :D
So how fast is your car, anyway?

Oh, about 1200mhz.

Hah! What exactly does the Turbo button do? Overclock it?

I know we have a bunch of that type of box at school.

I think it makes it faster. Old computers used to get a few extra Mhz by pressing that button.

So couldn't you say that this " Turbo " button does overclock the machine?!?!?!

XT's ran at a whopping 4.77 MHz I think, pressing that button made them run at 8 or 10 MHz, I believe. I don't know what that button exactly did though.

Certain badly-written programs relied on the speed of the processor for timing. When faster XT and AT clones started appearing, you needed a way to slow down the clones to the stock speeds so that those programs would run at normal speed.

Did anyone else have trouble trying to play Wing Commander on a fast clone?
