Really enjoying seeing these computers! Here's my entry.

Bummer is - I just got a new case for my pc (going on 6 years old) ! it was LOADED with so much dust I had to replace the cpu cooler.. it wouldnt all come out! lol.
(ASUS P5Q Pro , e8500 3.16, 8 gb ram, 3 mismatched old hand me down HDs, radeon 6870 card... yeah old)
So, i cracked open my sons pc .. and discovered why it sounded like it was working so hard to stay cool!



I also find it amusing that some people just dont read the rules.... and really? the cat hair couldn't have been more fake..

I will admit to never having been here before.. but its contests like these that draw me in and I found out how cool the community is

ok, I just fired up my sons computer after blowing stuff out of the radiator... its QUIET again! so.. thank you already for getting me to do this!

Thankfully I do have dust filters and hardwood floors so cleaning is not often needed. Normally I would not enter contests but I can't turn down the possibility that I may finally get into a case that is less than 7 years old or that I may get a new PSU to replace my aged Antec Earthwatts 650w.

She barely runs windows 95

Thanks to Jessie (The Grey) who likes to sit on my shoulder while I game, I clean my case every week. I'm still not sure how her feathers work their way in. Looks like I'm about due for another cleaning. Good luck to everyone!

host the image on an image site (like imgur) then use the [img] button to insert the link

One of my customers DVR system he wonders why he keeps having problems with this system.

To attach the image - upload it to http://www.Imgur.com and then copy and paste the automatically generated link from "BBCode (message boards & forums)" portion, it should look something like "[img ]http://i.imgur.com/hewjrhfjsdhkhjfshfgjhsd.jpg[ /img]". Then click on "Preview" button to make sure your photo looks good in your post before clicking on "Submit" button.

Be aware that these forums do not automatically scale back the large images so if your resulting image will be "cut off" - first click on "Large Thumbnail" link on Imgur's page, THEN copy and paste the "BBCode" link. Or resize the image manually before uploading (I suggest making it 800x600).

This is a hand-me-down. I was going to fix and reassemble everything in this box years ago... Oops.

this is my Temp PC till i get a New CPU and a Pair of DDR3 2133 Ram AND this PC is AMD Athlon 2 X2 DDR2 3gb ( 2X512MB & 1X 2GB ) running Ubuntu 11 ... i want to get back to Gaming My fav Game is APB Reloaded

I just cleaned a few rigs before this contest...and the old ones I checked were all still clean. Guess that's what I get for being a clean freak lol

Dont put a link in.. put the picture code.. first upload to a site like http://www.imgur.com then after you select the picture, click large thumbnail (as a pic size) then copy the BBCODE line
should look like [IMG ]http://i.imgur.com/XvDyipxl.jpg[ /IMG]

i would love to win this contest i really need a better setup so i can upload my youtube videos. i tried to upload a video from my computer and it took hours and then just finally shut down never finished uploading it.this computer i got now is about good for a calculator or word processor. sorry the date on the paper is a day late i took the picture yesterday and wasn't able to upload it until today

That is a P4 that has been in constant service since it was bought (2003 maybe?). It was still chugging along right up until it got replaced.

Hi all, yeah a Newbie here. My oldest son likes to build computers from the ground up, I didn't realize just how cool it is. Would love to try it myself!
