Note: this thread is for contest entries only. If you would like to discuss the contest, please post in the comments section of the contest announcement post on the main site.

We're giving away a boatload of hardware from Gigabyte, Enermax, and Samsung, and entering for a chance to win couldn't be easier: read the rules below, pen a haiku related to PC hardware or software, and post it in this thread. We'll reward the most creative and/or entertaining submissions.

Contest regulations
Sorry, but this contest is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada (except Quebec) only.

Only one entry is allowed per person.

We will be accepting giveaway entries until August 21, 2014 at noon CDT, at which point this thread will be locked. TR staffers will then confer and select winners from among all eligible entries. The winners will be announced on the site by the end of the day on August 25 and will also be notified via private message in the forums. The winners will need to claim their prizes within 72 hours, or they will forfeit their prizes, and we will have to select new winners.

To qualify, entries must be in the form of a single haiku comprising three lines and 17 syllables. Syllables must be in a 5-7-5 arrangement (i.e. five syllables for the first line, seven for the second line, and five for the third line). Haikus must be related to PC hardware or software in some way. Entries that do not conform to these rules will be disqualified. We also reserve the right to disqualify entries that are apparent attempts to game the system or circumvent the rules in any way.

The staff of The Tech Report and their immediate families may not enter the giveaway and are not eligible to win.

No purchase is necessary. This giveaway is void where prohibited by law. TR, Gigabyte, Enermax, and Samsung are not responsible for any taxes on the prizes, damage in shipping, damage caused by using the prizes with other products, or health issues that may result from prolonged use of the prizes.
