Expansion? There's an Expansion for Ghost Recon already? WTF?

My favorite games are:

Diablo 2, started playing it again a few months ago, really enjoy it again, repeptive, but fun multiplayer ( I always have a server up for my friends ).
DaggerFall 3. when it comes out. I have high expectations for this one.
Neverwinter Nights: Again, when it comes out.

Oh wait, I just got off topic. Current games. Back to topic. Bad Bad DiMaestro.

SS:SE I play quite a bit.
Max Payne: I just can't over how damned good it looks on my 8500.
Ghost Recon. A bit, not a lot.
AVP2: Still haven't finished the Predator section.

Thanx Vrock, I've played the demo, and can't decide on that one or MOHAA. Played MOH 1&2 on my PS, and enjoyed them thoroughly. Maybe I should finish Ghost Recon, and Thief2 first.

I still have not finished Thief II! I am on the last level in the monastery or whatever with all the damn vines. I saved it there and haven't touched it for almost a year now....

A bunch of friends and I played Ghost Recon Deathmatch at our last LAN and it was a blast! We usually play co-op, but we had a noob that insisted on shooting friendlies, so it was on... And we enjoyed the hell out of it! Only problem is the maps are BIG and everyone seems to want to camp.. I mean "Snipe".

Anyone who has time for gaming should give Thief, Thief 2, and System Shock 2 a shot. I think I recall there being demos for all three, so if they aren't your bag of forgot the idiom, you won't have really lost much.

I liked System Shock 2-until you get in the middle of the game and the baddies are everywhere and your frieking guns ARE BREAKING EVERY FIVE SECONDS! What a load of crap! You put 20 rounds through a shotgun and it BREAKS? Who's making these things, a bunch of toddlers in Korea? Talk about frustration. I wiped it from my HDD long ago.

The multiplayer patch lets you change the frequency with which weapons break.

Other than that...specialize in psi powers. :smile:

I remember the weapon deterioration being annoying at first, but with a couple of stat boosts in "repair" or "technical what-have-you", it wasn't much of a problem anymore. But I can certainly see why people would rather not have to deal with it at all.

I'm surprised noone's mentioned Ultima Online.

I've been playing it for over 3 years now and they're still adding content. The learning curve is pretty steep, but given the incredible depth of play and the potential to make some decent scratch (just under $12,000 last year from playing a game :D is a pretty good incentive).

Plus there's no better game for huge battles & casual solo monster thumping.

I'm a grad strategy junkie...

My current top three would be
MOO II (yes I can't wait for MOO III to come out)
Europe Universalis II (smokin great game, espically for you history buffs)
Imperium Galactica II (Just started getting into this game after it sat on my shelf for months... what can I say, its got cool effects)

Biggest disappointments
Poop of Radiance...er... pool of radiance
Civ III
