Ugh, too many games out I still have to get Halo 3, and here in a few weeks GH3 will be out and I've got to get that, and, as mentioned, the Orange Box is on my list as well. There's probably a few others I am forgetting :\

We should play again some night this week. I've got my golfer maxed out now, and I think I've gotten a bit better as well

You can't drop it down to 1 round until after the season, you are stuck

Bingo Bango Bongo is sometimes luck because the other person has to miss the green so you can get there first AND get it closer to the flag. On one-ball, just hit the ball right off the green so they still have to hit it on the green then you can put it in every time. I always win One-ball, BBB is harder.

One ball is by far easier. Just remember that the circle is half the distance from your ball to the hole every time. So, I usually try to hit a nasty tee shot into the rough somewhere, then after the computer goes, I try to get it in one of two places. If it's a small green, I aim for right off the green, because the computer will never putt if they're off the green. If it's a big green, I try to get it about 30-40 feet from the cup. The computer will take the shot at trying to make it every time, but will almost NEVER make a putt from that distance. Then it leaves you a 1 foot putt for the win.

Bingo Bango Bongo is a lot harder for me. I can almost never get all 3 points on a hole. I almost never get the closest to pin point because the CPU will purposely hit it just off the green so they get a real easy approach to the hole.

Two ways to beat that:

1. Ignore it and just take the first on the green and lowest score points every hole.

2. Beat them at their own game. If you drive second, drive behind them and go again and aim short of the green by a ways. Problem with this is it'll sometimes cost you the first on green, but almost never, because the CPU wants to get as close as possible, so they'll do the same thing you, except they'll get much closer, so you can go again. Problem there is that you'll almost always halve the hole.

There's no challenge you can't at least get silver on by the 1 point per hole method. I've only seen 1 or 2 where you have to get all 3 points on at least 1 hole.

Technique 2 would work well if you get the closest and first points and halve every time. You'd still get 2 instead of 1 every hole.

Like I said, any weeknight between 6-8EST is good for me. Weekends I'm always open, so any time would be fine. What's your schedule like? Maybe PerfectCR and myself can work around you.

EDIT: Looks intriguing, but I got to be honest, no way I'd pay 50$ for that. If it comes out at a lower price, sure. If not, I might pick it up used at some point, but that's not enough game for me to invest 50$ in *shrug*

If you never played Katamari Damacy or We <3 Katamari on PS2, you wouldn't understand the bizarre and intensely Japanese addiction.

My evenings are largely Halo-fests right now, with my cousin's husband and a couple other mutual friends (though I'm sure interest will wane on my part; this is the most I've ever played any Halo game...never got into the first two, and this purchase was almost entirely on his insistence. I've enjoyed it alot more than I thought I would). My golfing is largely a morningtime thing, which I'll do between the time I get up with my wife to the time I have to go to work (she leaves for work at 6:30AM Central and I've got about 75 minutes to kill between then and the time I leave) and weekends.

Well it took me a week but I finally got Gold in all Tiger Challenges! Whew! 125 Gamerscore for that! (75 for all Gold, 50 for all Silver!)

I got all silver this weekend. I've got gold on most of them now though, just gonna have to take the time to go back through them.

There's only 1 I have a problem with. It's the one near the upper bit where you've got to hit out of the trees. 6 strokes is gold, but I can't do it for the life of me. The second and third I think, I hit the trees EVERY damn time, so it ends up taking me 3 shots on one, or both, of those. And since there's 3 holes...

I just can't figure out how to get my ball through the damn leaves and branches.

2nd hole: Use "Punch" and equip a 7 iron. Aim slightly left. Use like 30% power and it should roll up on the green and then the putt is rather easy.

3rd hole: This is tough, but again, use "Punch" and use a 5 Wood. Aim slightly left again and hit it about 70 - 80% power. It must be a "perfect" shot so it goes straight. If you hit it right it will roll up on the green and you'll have a putt.

I had to reply that one about 20 times before I figured it out!!

Now the one I had the toughest time with was Adam Scott in the inner circle. He is very good and getting 4 Up on him was HARD. It took me about 12 times before I could get it.

I don't think I'll have a big problem with the inner circle. I got gold on Tiger the second time I played him, though it did take me 17 holes to do it.

Too damn many good games going on right now. I haven't had a chance to play much of anything online the last 6-7 days because of too much fun single-player stuff. I bitched about Katamari being short but I've put tons of time into it trying to get 100 points on each level and find all the presents/cousins...I've played Orange Box quite a bit...Halo 3...I got the demo for Every Extend Extra Extreme off the Arcade when it came out, and got hooked so badly on the demo I got the full game...PGR4 is out and I'll never have time to play it (maybe into the spring?)...NFS Pro Street demo is pretty cool, I'll probably end up playing that full game...plus Tiger 08 and APF08 just kinda sit on the shelf. I still have to get Bioshock. And Mass Effect when it comes out. When it rains, it pours...

I've got Lost Planet on the shelf I haven't touched yet, Eternal Sonata I've played only a half hour of, HL2/EP1/EP2 that I haven't touched at all yet. Plus I've got games I've had a while that I never got very far with, like Ninety-Nine Nights, GoW (Still stuck at bull in china shop. I'll get past it some day). And of course there's Virtua Tennis and Tiger Woods 08. Bunch of arcade games I haven't yet played much of.

And to make matters worse, I am picking up my GH3 pre-order on Sunday, I still haven't bought Halo 3, Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed will be out before too long, as well as Ace Combat 6 that I'd like to pick up.

I hear ya. There aren't enough hours in the day to play all these games I've been looking forward to.

It almost makes me jealous of my PS3 because there's hardly any games I want to play on it *laugh*

I just ordered a 360 online. Got it for 335 shipped(no tax). It's one of the new pro ones with the better heatsinks and hdmi. Also came with a couple of games(probably mediocre games though).

My current xbox live name is 'fack michigan'(used to be **** michigan but they made me change it). I usually play with my buddy from another big ten school who goes by '**** ohio state' which is pretty comical. CoD4 and Halo 3 online seem like they're going to be my mainstay. I'll also have Forza 2 and Ultima alliance which both offer some sort of online play.

That really makes me sad. I figured it was just a matter of time, and I'm glad that it did it now while it's not going to cost me anything to get it repaired, but did it have to do it on Christmas Day? I only got 1 game, but we were going to play it with a friend that spent Christmas with us.

Now I'm without gaming and HD-DVD capabilities for what is likely to be the better part of a month

I actually watched THHGTTG on Christmas after the 360 broke It was on HDNet Movies. Gotta love a free non-commercial HD movie channel

Anyway, yea, I registered online, and filled out the sheet thingy, so they said they're shipping me a box to send it in to them, though I've received no email yet saying anything about it, so I assume they haven't gotten to it yet.

I'm just sad that I'm now without 360 gaming AND capabilities to play HD movies, for the better part of a month. Especially since I have like 6 times as many 360 games as I do PS3 games.

And getting a movie I really wanted to see from Netflix on HD-DVD yesterday was just salt in the wound! Had to send it back and re-add it to my queue for later :\

I started HL2 the other night, the original game, not the episodes. Seems good so far, if a bit confusing since I've never played the HL franchise before that.

I want Mass Effect! My girlfriend said she was going to get it for me, but everywhere she went in town it was sold out, and it was too late to order it online. I think I'll try to weasel it out of her once I get my machine back.

Do you know of a good place to get a synopsis of the plot from HL1? I think knowing that would really help me figure out what's going on in HL2. I looked around a bit this morning before I clocked in, but didn't find anything that seemed very complete and well-written.
