steam issue

Steam.exe(main exception): CMultiFieldBlob(pSerialized): Bad field - extends past end of blob

What does that mean, I think my computer crashed when I was away and now I can't start steam. I don't want to uninstall and reinstall it cause that would require all my library to be reinstalled. how do I best address this issue?

Had another issue with my crysis copies bought on steam over the holiday sales. Still working on those, it has to do with the menue system not installing with the game, HA!
