Metro 2034 is on its way

Tue Feb 08, 2011 8:41 pm

Good news for me and those who enjoyed Metro 2033. The sequel is under development according to this http://pc.ign.com/articles/114/1148543p1.html

This is great news! I played through the first one and loved just about every minute of it. It's an intense game.

I'm holding off on Metro 2033 until I read the book. I'm not a native Russian speaker, so it is slow going. But with another game coming out, I need to get going! (I'm curious if what people say about movies is also true about games: "the book was better...")

I have an ebook copy of the book in English. PM me and I can show you where I got it.

I have not started 2033 yet. I started the game up to make sure it ran acceptably etc, but didn't start it back up after the opening scene with all the giant rats etc. I started playing starcraft 2 single player and haven't stopped yet. Metro 2033 is next, followed by finally playing through Call of Pripyat after LOVE LOVE LOVING STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Skies to death.

Don't really care about that game. I've read the original book (Metro 2033), in original language, and really liked it (never read the English version, so don't know whether it was translated properly or not), however the game itself was really crappy (IMO).

Thanks for the offer. I could get a copy of the English pretty easily, but it is good practice to try the Russian. :) Maybe I'll have to go find STALKER books too; haven't played beyond a one-hour investment in Shadow of Chernobyl.
