Assassin's Creed Brotherhood ditching draconian DRM

Wed Feb 23, 2011 6:51 am

According to the article on Kotaku.com Ubisoft is dropping the requirement for a persistent online connection on Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for the PC. Only a initial login is required. They've found themselves at least one buyer :D

I'm still not 100% clear on what's the final DRM on this.

Ping home while installing = acceptable.
Ping home EACH TIME you want to play = eat a ^%$, Ubi.

Yeah you're right, I'm wondering the same. Internet check every time the game starts up is still bad for people constantly on the move like myself. Initial check during installation and never again would be ideal, but I can't seem to get clarification on this anywhere.
