Xbox 360 USB HD Support

Mon Dec 17, 2012 12:21 pm

Does anybody know if the Xbox 360 supports large external USB HD's? I have a 500GB HD formatted with FAT32, will the console make use of all the space on this drive? I've read that there's a 16GB limit to the size of external USB drives which I find to be rather retarded.

Mods feel free to move post if needed.

Haha just noticed my signature, disclosure.....I don't own an Xbox, this is for my nephew ;P

No, external hard drives have the same restrictions as USB drives. 16gb is it.

All you can do is jam the thing full of USB drives or buy an Xbox HDD.
Xbox Live = narcon / Steam = narcon / PSN = Pontifex

Pretty much what David said.

I have a "fat" (read: original) Microsoft Xbox 360 60GB hard drive I was gonna sell somewhere for $40 soonish. There are instructions online to pry open the plastic casing and move it to an adapter (they usually run $5 on amazon) if you needed to plug it into an Xbox 360 slim. If you're interested send me a PM.
