Well I decided to play Crysis 3 on my I3 2125 & Hd7750 OCed to 1100core and 1325 mem powered HTPC hooked to my Panasonic 3D TV. Its not like i haven't played it on it before....I average 50-65fps with the settings on medium and it looks great still.
But I was tweaking in the graphics options and saw the 3d settings again thinking they were just for Nvidia's and AMD's 3d solutions. So i clicked on the 3d settings anyway just to look at them and low and behold it said side by side 3d ! So I enabled it and it and my TV said 3d signal detected hit the 3D button for 3D, needless to say i grabbed a pair of 3D glasses and hit the 3d button. To mu surprise it worked great and it was not limited to 24FPS at 1080p! It was fun A slight bit of crosstalk but it worked great the 30 minutes i played late last night. I know this will work with both AMD and Nvidia cards. I have to say it did lower my frame rate to the high 30's to low 40's so it does put more strain on your video card.
JustaEngineer you should give it a try, I know you have a 7770 hooked to a vt30 3d tv also. You might want to overclock that 7770 if your frame rates are too low.
Also anyone with a TV that supports the 3D SBS format should give it a try and sound off here with your experience.
