I was referring to trackpad latency solely for the in-store cursor-wiggling test.
Why would you use a trackpad for gaming though?! The average trackpad adds 50-100 ms of lag. There was a nice Microsoft research article on trackpad latency from before the days of Windows 8 but I can't find it right now.
