I found this press release about the release of Thief 3. It sounds like Ion Storm is doing a bang up job with this game. Hopefully it'll be just as good as the first two.

Looks like I'm going to be broke this fall because of the release of HL-2, DE-2, and now Thief 3!! I hope my friends and family aren't going to be too angry about not geting much for Christmas this year, because most of my money will be gone by December thanx to these games!

I have been waiting for this one to come out for a while. I just hope that it is as good as the other 2 were.

I'm guessing it'll be just as good as the first two, and seeing as how it's going to be based on the DE-2 engine the game should look amazing also.

I think the best thing I liked about the first 2 was the story line. It wasn't boring at all. That and the fact that it isn't your basic FPS where you just run around killing anything that moves.

Aggh...I've never heard of Thief 3, but it looks like a winner - nice graphics, too.

Hey, that's how I've gotten lots of games. It's usually just Christmas or my birthday though ;)

You havn't heard of Thief 3, or not of any of the Thief games?? If you havn't heard of them, then I suggest you go out and get a copy and give it a whirl. The great thing about it is the hiding in the dark from your enemies and taking them out with a blackjack to the back of the skull, that and the fact that you can roam anywhere on the map and explore to your hearts content.

It's a great game, I highly recommend it.

Ummm never played it, so I can't say if it's any good. Looked for it at EB a while back, but they can no longer get copies of 1 or 2 and no used copies in the bin.

Theif 3, can't wait.

Maybe I oughta get my Theif 1 CD back from by brother in law. I never even beat it.

One of the first games I bought after I got "my own" p3-500 computer was System Shock 2. I played part of it, but I got stuck and a little bored. I still treasure it, hoping someday that I will find someone else who likes it and can play it multiplayer. Plus I found a mod somewhere that polishes up the graphics a bit (bodies sticking into floors and whatnot).
