Hawk, have you tried playing Path of Exlie? If not, you might like it. It is a Free to Play game on Steam, with micro-transisitions mostly for cosmetics and a few actual useful things (extra personal stash stabs). So far I play a few hours and it is pretty fun doing dudgeon crawls, but the one feature I like is that I can keep opening new instances of the same dudgeon really quick.

I looked up wasteland II, looks to be a fun RPG/TBS.

That's why I hate playing Beta. It's really not that good, eh?

Its good....it is what it is and that's a CCG. It has some cool twists but just like Min/Maxing in WoW after a time you get bored with it and then want something new. I dont know how often they plan on introducing new cards, I currently have 3/4 of the album full leaving me to only 'grind' for more gold to buy packs or plop down real money too. Either I get the cards I'm missing or I bust up my duplicates for dust to create them. (I have an extra beta number if you want it  )

Release date(s) 2015 or later[2]

But sign me up for anything CD Projeckt Red does too. Beyond that, I'm still looking forward to the Mass Effect/Dragon Age sequels given the new engine and the royal chaffing that Bioware got from their last entries in those series, might have learned something. Didn't see anything in the OP's list that's appealing- what else are you guys following? Any other good single-player RPGs coming?

It's an obvious one, but Star Citizen. I love space sims so even if it's only half of what it is hyped up to be I'll love it.

Also:
Incognita
Dark Souls II
World of Warships

I don't really follow upcoming games all that closely though. I find out about most of the games I end up buying well after they are released. It's usually better to wait anyway IMO. That way all the bugs are worked out and you can often get it cheaper.

Is nobody else eager to know how the story will end?

I'm pretty pumped for Starcraft 2 Legacy of the void.

hmm...
Dying Light
Mirror's Edge 2
Titanfall
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Watch Dogs
Star Citizen

...I think that's everything. There's a few more I'm interested in but not actually waiting for.

  • Dark Souls II
Why? Because Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are among my very favorite games of all time.
  • Mirror's Edge 2
Why? See above. More tentative about this one due to the new direction they're taking. Will probably be too American.
  • Titanfall
Why? I really like the visual style and the concepts at work here. I have dubious expectations for the gameplay, though.
  • Destiny
Why? I liked Borderlands the first two times! Halo: Reach was my favorite of the series, so I like what Bungie's doing lately.
  • The Division
Why? The attention to detail in this game, assuming the "live" demo wasn't just all prerendered, looks nuts.
  • Starbound
Why? Do you even have to ask? Have you READ about this game? Jesus christ.
  • Blade & Soul (NA release)
Why? Eh ... I'm a sucker for fanservice-y MMOs. See my Rusty Hearts obsession.
  • Phantasy Star Online 2 (NA release)
Why? Played the JP release for a long time; really liked it. I have a lot of friends who will play if it comes out here. (It never will.)
  • Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN
Why? Arc System Works FINALLY moves to 2.5D? Sign me up.
  • Project Awakened
Why? This game, assuming it delivers on its promises, is basically my dream game. Unfortunately their Kickstarter failed. It kills me.
  • Overgrowth
Why? True physics-based character animation and a gorgeous custom renderer. You can play the alpha now if you preorder!
  • Everquest Next
Why? Voxel MMO. I'm so down.
  • Fallout 4
    Why? Because Fallout.

DayZ. Even though I don't expect it to be great straight away.

Still from DICE isn't it? They aren't American.

I hope that the new ladder units help to make the game more fun than the borefest that it is today.

Yeah, and I am -- still doesn't stop ME from disliking overtly (stereotypically) "American" things, and it doesn't stop Europeans from making "American" things -- especially when their employer is a subsidiary of an American company that has a known penchant for unnecessary executive meddling apropos of nothing.

It *could* be an amazing open-world story-focused first-person parkour adventure game, but instead it's probably going to be a boring shooter game that happens to have parkour elements. I bet it has bullet time. Sigh.

  • Wasteland 2
  • Torment: Tides of Numenera
  • Below
From capybara games (Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery)
  • Dark Souls II
  • The Witness
By Jonathan Blow, creator of Braid
  • Persona 5
  • Child of Light
  • Paper Sorcerer
OK, it's technically out already, but I really want to try it
  • Transistor
From Supergiant Games, makers of Bastion
  • Ys: Memories of Celceta
OK, also already out; waiting for price drop. Also, Persona 4 Golden eating up all my JRPG time
  • Fallout 4
    Nuclear Winter is coming.
  • Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
Waiting for PS Vita version to be announced
  • The Last Guardian
Been waiting for this since Shadow of the Colossus; might even persuade me to buy a PS4

EDIT: Honorable mention for Ultima Ratio Regum, a free indie roguelike. I've been playing (one of) the beta(s), and it is absurdly pretty for an ASCII-based game.

*ahem, nevermind previous message :)*

That's about what I've come to expect on anything EA does. The positive stuff never matters. Even if it was the same game with some upgrades, people would bitch about EA screwing it up and changing everything for the worse...true or not.

Heh.

We'll see. I'm still looking forward to it, am I not?

:) just sayin I find it amusing and depressing is all.

I don't love everything EA does but I have more respect for them than most people seem to. I just wish their games launched in better shape. oof.

Project Cars should be good (q4 2014).
