Despite the uPlay drm. Its currently on sale for $10/ deluxe ed.
Played 2 hours and it was some of the most frustrating gaming time I've ever spent.

Seems like the idea of Far Cry 3 is awesome and the execution just sucks ( so far). It is just not at all fun to play so far.
Its marketed as open world play but feels very much like a shooter on rails so far. I actually got the warning that I was straying from my path to a way point and leaving the path would result in a failed mission. Is this Far Cry or COD?

I'm still hopeful that it will get better because it seems the idea behind it is good.
Maybe it will suck less after I get further along. However, I'm honestly about to abandon it already because it just is not fun.

The menus are infuriating.

once you get used to the controls, it's a blast to play, i'm on my second island, and killing enemy is never the same, just give it some more play time and it'll grow on ya

Bought it for $7.50 today. Didn't get deluxe or DLC because I doubt I will ever finish it. Never finished FC2 either, but it is fun in doses.

played a bit more and feel about the same.

I think most of my frustration in the first 30 minutes was that I had the hint stuff turned on. Once I found out how to disable all that annoying stuff, it got a bit better.
Still, it just isn't fun for me yet. Not sure why because the idea of it thrills me.

I'm sure it'd be more fun with a 4K monitor and R290
