New metal body (I hate all the creaky plastic junk on majority of other models), 4.7" 468dpi display, built-in 4 megapixel (for better light sensitivity they have decreased megapixel count) rear camera with optical image stabilization... Pretty nice device overall. No wireless charging, though

So this is what a MacBook Pro would look like if it dressed as a phone for Halloween.

It's got guts. If HTC wants to do so much with background data (which it needs for this info snacking to work) it needs great battery life. With a 1080 display, I'm not counting on it, 2300mah battery or not.

HTC always messes up at least one thing in all their nice phones.

For this round it looks like two obvious things are:
(1) The home button placement is different for the sake of being different. Why not just make the HTC logo the home button if you really want the logo there so that the switcher button is still there?
(2) Battery life. It's not likely to be pretty with a 2300mah battery unless some kind of compromise is done (the One X compromised multitasking to get its better battery life for instance).


I like the overall design though. I just wish HTC would stop trying to "differentiate" with silly things like the front buttons.

Yea, the offset "home" button looks weird... Also, the new custom GUI looks like it was "inspired" by WP8 Not sure if MS will like it (though I doubt they can do anything about it)...

well, to me, if it doesn't have a keyboard it isn't a (smart)phone.
And why do the screens have to keep growing in size, I have no problem with growing pixel count, but the physical size should be small enough for the phone, WITH its hardware keyboard to fit in my pocket.

Yes, abandoning the megapixel race is certainly good for mobile Industry.
Ideally, they should create a resolution which should try to fit every possible resolution persistent in the computer world. # Some sort of LCM (Least Common ...) of all resolutions.

Yes, I agree with you Sir, Mobile is something meant to carry around in your hands. It should be small to fit in your pant's pockets and hands. Its screen should be easily accessible by one hand. # Apple keep up the good work with iPhones.

There's no point in increasing the resolution endlessly. The ideal resolution should be something, that at least 2 sq. pixels should be indistinguishable at the distance of 25 cm.
