Problems with my Ipaq...

Sun Dec 07, 2003 12:43 am

I've got a Compaq Ipaq H3650... 32Mb of RAM, color screen, etc.

My problem is that I can't keep the battery recharged for longer than about a day, whether I'm using it or not.

Anyone else ever had problems like this? Is this normal? If not, and I try to get some money back for the thing (I bought a replacement-plan thingie with the device) what should I be looking to replace it? Pricerange is ~ $300

Comments are welcome, thanks! :D

That's certainly an older model, and my guess is that the battery just cannot hold a charge any longer!

As for a replacement, the iPaq 1910 is nice if you want to stay PPC. The Dell Axim is cheap, fast, and of reasonably quality.

For Palm, the Tungsten E is nice:)

G/L with whatever you choose,

I have the 1945, an upgraded 1910, and I can get about 3 days of occasional use or about 10 hours of mp3 play back. With a good battery, you should get about the same run time.

Make sure it's set to turn off after a few minutes of inactivity and the screen brightness is reduced.

If it's more than a few years old and has seen constant use, the battery might be on the way out. Try a new battery.

Yep, I'd wager the battery just can't hold a charge anymore.

I'm gonna guess This and This are the proper batteries for your model.

Save a few bucks, live with the 36xx for a while longer.
