Bah, too heavy. If it's over 2kg, I'm not buying. And I am in the market for a notebook. Maybe they'll refresh the long-in-the-tooth 600M.

Will be interesting to see how the Dothans do on a 533Mhz bus, however. And I wonder how interchangable mini-PCIE graphics cards will be (probably not very).

Sonoma is the next (and long-delayed) mobile chipset from Intel. Higher bus speed, PCI-E support (for mini PCI-E cards), supposedly better WiFi, "high-definition" audio, some other odds and ends in the southbridge and possibly better power management. The first two features are the biggies (though note that in the Dells described above, only one is using the higher FSB).

This should give an idea of 533 FSB performance, although im not sure what to think of the DDR2 system memory..

Does anyone have any idea when the 9300 is coming out, I might be getting the 9200 but don't want to buy it than have the new one come out the next day.

Damn, 256mb of graphics ram sounds pretty tasty (assuming it is dedicated GPU ram, not shared ram on the motherboard) for a laptop! (or is it a notebook.. i don't know the diff between notebooks and laptops??)

I just wonder how long the battery life will be with the fast cpu/gpu and all its ram.
