best cheapy PDA?

Wed Jan 26, 2005 4:36 pm

My girlfriend needs a basic PDA mostly as an organizer to keep track of meetings and messages.
Can someone please recommend a basic PDA for around $100 to 150?
Please let me know what makes one better than another.
Thanks.

Spend another $50 and get a Tungsten E (great screen, snappy performance, decent memory storage). Otherwise just go with the regular Zire 21 if all she plans on using it for is STRICTLY organization and the occasional small app (B&W screen, small memory though and no Office syncronization).

I'll second the Tungsten E. They are probably the best pda for the money.

Thanks for the tip.
The Tungsten E does seem like a lot for the money.
Any advice on a good online vendor. The palm website is offering an MP3 kit and free shipping if I buy through them @ $199.

I'd buy from Palm. Sounds like a good deal.

If it is just an electronic organizer, then those Franklin Rolodexes sure are cheap. A friend of mine just lost one every year and claimed they are disposable enough.
