I told ya man, productivity! But I'm very tempted to get KOTOR - the first one - now that its dropped in price. I've heard that it's a very good single player experience.

Brought the lappy to work today and had a render race against the fastest computer in the office - a Prescott 3.0 with 1GB pc3200

Rendered "Stroller" sample file in Form Z 4.2

The lappy walked all over that desktop. Beat it by approx 33% I have to say that for a laptop I was surprised.

I had it plugged into a watt meter all the while and it never went over 80 watts while rendering. I also ran the crystal ball ati demo and power consumption peaked at 91 watts. The watt meter is the kind you put into the outlet and then plug the lappy into it.

So... I'm very pleased with performance to say the least. Of course, it was only a Prescott :lol:

Idle = 45W
Idle screen off = 35W
Boot = 70W peak, 45W avg.
Max. attained = 91W
Standby mode = 2W
Plugged in but off = 1 or 2W
