Overclocking a laptop?

Mon Apr 04, 2005 11:06 am

Hey all,

Quick question for y'all. I haven't thought too much about overclocking a laptop cpu, so the question is, is it possible? If so, what are the best ways? I know that you can use cpuid.com tools, any better?

Thanks!

The main limitation is the BIOS of the motherboard, not allowing for such changes.

Not being able to do much to overcome additional heat is another limiting factor.

You'd be more likely to find tweakable systems from Alienware or Voodoo than, say Dell or Gateway.
